    Since 1990, the city of Seattle has provided a Friday and Saturday late-night alternative to the streets. Young people can gather at nine local community centers and be a part activities like computer class, athletics including basketball, volleyball, and martial arts, even tutoring. The Late Night Program targets youth most prone to harmful behavior and shows them the possibility of having a positive future. 5/31/2007

    A food processing competition to help end hunger.
  • Citywide Neighborhood Plan Workshop
    Citizens who wish to improve and empower their neighborhoods attended a public workshop on Neighborhood Planning - Sharpening the Tools for Effective Use, Implementation and stewardship, held on Saturday, May 19th, 2007. The workshop assessed the results so far from Seattle's nationally recognized 38 neighborhood plans, which were produced between 1995 and 1999. The event is sponsored by the City Neighborhood Council, in coordination with the office of Seattle City Councilmember Sally Clark. 5/19/2007
  • City Inside/Out: Strip Clubs
    Sally and Councilmember Jean Godden attended the twenty-eighth annual Women in Trades Fair on Friday April 27 at the Seattle Center Fisher Pavilion. Sally proudly holds her Washington Women in Trades shirt she received for participating in the Fair’s Power Tool and Trade Skills Olympics where they showed their expertise (or lack thereof) at basic trade craft skills such as painting straight lines, identifying tools, reading maps and measuring boards. 5/4/2007
