Holiday Fire Safety Every winter across the U.S., thousands of people are injured in holiday related fires in the home. Directions and Parking Instructions to Toys for Tots Seattle Fire Department is participating in the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots program. Citizens can drop off toy donations at any Seattle Fire Station. Please donate only new and unwrapped toys. The toys will be collected by the Marine Corps and distributed to community service organizations in the Seattle area. Program ends on December 18, 2008. Emergency Feeding Program Food Drive Once again, Seattle Fire Department is participating, along with other area organizations, in the Emergency Feeding Program. Fire stations throughout the city are collection points for the public to donate non-perishable food items. The Emergency Feeding Program collection ends December 20th, 2008. Fire Station 31 Moved to Temporary Location
Fire Engine 31, Ladder 5 and Medic 31 have relocated from 1319 N. Northgate Way, to across the street at 10503 Interlake Avenue North, directly north of the existing Fire Station 31. Firefighters will respond to emergencies from this location. Public tours of Fire Station 31 are suspended until the work is complete. Citizens can go to the temporary fire station for blood pressure checks. Nightclub Fire Sprinklers Law Revised The 2007 Washington State Legislature changed the definition of nightclubs requiring retroactive installation of fire sprinklers and extended the deadline for compliance to December 1, 2009.
