Volunteer Opportunities

You are invited to join a group of dedicated volunteers who participate in the leadership, financial support, maintenance, and construction activities of this exciting project.  Roll up your sleeves and join in a work party  or join a committee.

Each component of the garden is supported by a working committee some are established, but can always use another volunteer, others are just getting underway.  The committees include:

Art

The Art Committee is being formed.  It is envisaged that the Magnuson Community Garden Art Committee will to plan an artful environment that both enhances the overall Garden design and creates a seamless continuity between art and the Garden.  Plans include exhibiting art that is complimentary, inviting, accessible, fun and / or educational. This project also intends to build partnerships between neighbors, community organizations and the City of Seattle. The arts component encourages interaction between artists, artworks and the public.  All plans will conform to Seattle Parks policies as articulated in the Arts and Cultural Plan and the  Arts Placement Policy
