The volunteer crews worked through the day at locations throughout Capitol Hill picking up litter along Broadway and 11th, removing graffiti from dumpsters, cleaning the community college and cleaning Cal Anderson Park. In the park, volunteers and the Mayor planted bulbs.
Participants met at the Shelter House in Cal Anderson Park. Forty-five people attended the Cal Anderson kickoff event with the Mayor and Seattle CCC President. Friends of Cal Anderson and Groundswell Off Broadway were honored. Department of Neighborhoods plaque unveiled over fireplace in Cal Anderson Park Shelterhouse. Ten youth and teens devoted time to cigarette butt removal on park grounds.
