One of Mayor Greg Nickels' four goals for Seattle is to "Build Strong Families
and Healthy Communities."
Thank You Letter from the Director
Dear Neighborhood Matching Fund Friends,
Thank you so much for coming out to celebrate Neighborhood Matching Fund's 20th Anniversary. It was an incredible gathering at Town Hall with old and new friends!
As we noted at the celebration - from the past 20 years, the numbers alone are impressive: 3,500 projects with a City investment of $42 million, and an additional $65 million of materials, volunteer hours, and funds matched from the neighborhoods themselves.
Success that spans the world in the replication of Matching Fund programs in about 100 cities!
The most enduring and impactful value of the Matching Fund has been in bringing together diverse groups of people to build a stronger sense of community through neighborhood projects.
I look forward to the next 20 years bringing more innovation and amazing projects through Seattle's Neighborhood Matching Fund. Thank you for your commitment to making our City and neighborhoods strong and healthy!
