Parks Facilities Maintenance Manager
We are currently recruiting a Parks Facilities Maintenance Manager. This position reports to the Parks Division Director for Seattle Parks and Recreation. The purpose of this position is to manage a wide variety of skilled trades sections within the Parks Division.
Duties include
managing approximately 100 regular employees assigned to one of eight skilled trade shops: Carpentry, Concrete, Electrical, HVAC, Metal, Machine, Plumbing, and Paint. Manage several staff members that provide professional levels of advice and services, both internally and externally; Monitor projects involving City crews and outside contractors for quality control and budget expenditures. Oversee annual preventive maintenance program for the Department. Respond to off-duty calls for emergency maintenance repairs. Plan, prioritize, and direct the activities of Parks facilities crews through subordinate supervisory staff. Evaluate facilities maintenance requirements and service levels, project expenditures and revenues; prepare, justify, and administer general operating budgets; exercise expenditure control; approve purchase of materials and supplies. Continuously monitor and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery methods, based on desired outcomes. Promote and follow the Parks mission statement, values, and expectations.
